Licensing
A full description of how licensing works and how to get a license is in the Installation and Release Notes supplied with X-Designer, as the text file README in the top level directory of the X-Designer distribution, and as an html file - just browse index.html in the top level directory of the X-Designer distribution
Details of how to get a license are on the
Licensing page. Briefly
you need to send the hostid (obtained with lmhostid or xlmsysid) of your license server to your X-Designer supplier. If you acquired your X-Designer directly from IST, you may send it, along with your Customer Reference Number, by email to license@ist-inc.com.

Purchasing Software Support
A period of Software Support is included with your initial purchase of X-Designer. This can be extended, usually in increments of 12 months, for the payment of a suitable fee to your X-Designer supplier.
Having a Software Support Agreement entitles you to make support calls by telephone, fax or email to your suppliers support desk and to receive any X-Designer upgrades released in that timescale.
