What is DeltaStream?
DeltaStream is a revolutionary software infrastructure system for active
real-time information delivery. Typical applications include the delivery
of financial market data, Internet auctions, live news feeds, sports
commentary and results, everywhere and anywhere data is needed while it
still has value. DeltaStream assembles, collates, formats, distributes,
delivers and presents real time data to a large number of concurrent users
using standard Web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Netscape
Navigator without requiring specialized hardware support. Wireless systems
such as GPRS (2.5G), WAP, SMS (text) and the upcoming broadband 3G/UMTS
phones can be the point of delivery for DeltaStream powered information.
What Devices does DeltaStream Support?
DeltaStream offers two-way communication, so enabling real-time execution
of trades, auction bids and other transactions. Deltastream can be deployed
to any web browser environment on any operating system. Wireless delivery
platforms include Symbian devices such as the Nokia 9210 Communicator,
Microsoft Pocket PC devices such as the HP/Compaq iPAQ and the O2 XDA, the
Handspring Treo and the RIM BlackBerry.

Costs
The cost of deployment of a DeltaStream system depends on a number of
factors, including the required number of concurrent connections, the
source, number and complexity of data feeds and on the data presentation
requirements. IST personnel work closely with client staff from a very
early stage to establish requirements and identify customization and
deployment activities. At the end of this first phase, a costed
implementation proposal is available to the client.
